North Kingstown High School boasts an active music program that features several bands, string, and choral ensembles, as well as instruction in piano, music history, music theory, and digital music. We believe that music education is an essential part of a well-rounded education, and should be accessible to all students. The program has also been recognised as one of the Best Communities for Music Education in the United States by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM).

Students in the program have been recognized at the state, regional, and national levels for excellence in musicianship and theatre performance. Students have performed on stages in New York City, Philadelphia, Orlando, and in venues in Europe and Canada. Alumni from North Kingstown have gone on to teach music, perform professionally, and work in other aspects of the music industry. Several alumni work in music production, lighting design and sound engineering, and performers in regional theatre and on Broadway.

The choral and string ensembles performing in this upcoming concert are chamber ensembles with students from the Mixed and Treble Choirs, and Orchestra and String Ensembles at North Kingstown High School. Students range in age from 15-18, and come from various musical backgrounds and experiences.
