The Actors' Church is delighted to welcome a new musical theatre workshop, Winghaven Park, which explores the journey from individual ambition and fulfillment to the strength, sacrifice, and healing of community - a story of hope in troubled times.
During the tensions and uncertainties of World War 2 America, Hollywood movie star Vera Webster returns to Vashon Island and her childhood home, Winghaven Park, during a national fundraising tour to sell war bonds to the public. Her three-day stay turns into a journey of self-discovery as she navigates an estranged sister, buried family secrets and rekindles a long-lost love with her high school sweetheart.
The cast includes four times Olivier Award nominee Summer Strallen (Love Never Dies) as Vera Webster, alongside Jamie Muscato (Moulin Rouge! Once, Heathers) Victoria Hamilton-Barritt (Bronco Billy) as Lilly, Ryan Anderson (Matildia the Musical) as Barnes, Charlotte Kennedy (Les Misérables) as Betty, and Anton Stephans (Little Shop of Horrors) as Rick.
