Susana Gilardoni Mirski returns to St Paul's Church for her Spring recital. Susana performs an eclectic mix of classical music, drawn from across the globe. The accompanist is David Smith who will also be playing a solo himself.

Biographies

Susan Gilardoni Mirski

Soprano

Susana Gilardoni Mirski was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Passionate about singing she started lessons at a very early age with the Russian mezzo soprano Nina Slaviansky d'Agreneff. Musical studies included piano, violin and an introductory course to Musicology at the university of El Salvador, UCA, Buenos Aires.

 Susana trained vocally and in repertoire with prestigious singers and repetiteurs in Buenos Aires, Florence, and London.  She has been a member of the Lagun Onak and Cantoria del Socorro choirs in Buenos Aires, San Marco in Florence and the Philarmonia Chorus in London.

As a soloist she has performed  in Buenos Aires for Ars musicalis at La Scala de San Telmo, Biblioteca Mentruyt and city churches and in London at  Bolivar Hall, city churches and other venues.

Her repertoire includes the great European masters and Latin american composers, giving pride of place to the Argentinian composers.

David Smith

Piano

David is a very experienced, prize-winning and sought after accompanist having performed at venues such as the Wigmore Hall and Amsterdam Concertgebouw, and developed relationships with festivals such as Aix-en-Provence and Heidelberg partnering some of today's exceptional singers and instrumentalists. He studied at both the Royal College and Royal Academy of Music and now works variously as both accompanist and coach at both conservatoires along with Trinity College of Music, as well as a freelance repetiteur and pianist at, amongst others, the Royal Opera House, ENO, Opera Holland Park and Dorset Opera.
