Now, after years of perfecting their craft, they're ready to share their music with the wider community. This live performance is the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy some laid-back music. With a warm and intimate sound, Sadia and Joe invite you to sit back, relax, and let their music transport you to a place of calm and contemplation. Their soulful melodies and poignant lyrics are sure to resonate with anyone who listens.
Sadia McEwen is a North London born singer and songwriter whose musical journey began early. She wrote her first song at just seven years old and started singing in her church choir around the age of nine, where her powerful voice and natural musicality quickly stood out. At eight, she was handpicked by her primary school music teacher to learn guitar and perform in school assemblies, sparking a lifelong love for the instrument and a deep appreciation for classic, timeless songs. Although she stepped away from the guitar after leaving primary school, Sadia reconnected with it in her late teens and early twenties, returning to song writing and developing her own sound. Raised on a rich mix of 70s, 80s, and 90s pop, R&B, soul, rock and gospel, her music is rooted in emotion, storytelling, and soul. Sadia has since built a successful career as a professional vocalist, travelling the world performing at high profile corporate events, weddings and productions including work with the world renowned Disney’s The Lion King. Now, she’s ready to finally share the original songs she’s been writing and holding close for years.
Joe Beagley's journey to becoming a musician began in his teens when he started playing music his hometown of Mitcham in South London. Growing up, he was exposed to a wide range of musical styles, and his eclectic taste reflected the diversity of the city. However, it was his love for a solid, simple bass line pushed him towards focusing on 4 fat strings rather than 6 skinny ones. Despite his passion for music, Joe's career path took a different turn, and he found himself working in the entertainment industry, albeit in a different capacity. For the past 21 years, Joe has been an integral part of the Mask and Puppet department for Disney's The Lion King, working behind the scenes to bring the iconic musical to life. While his work on the show has been rewarding, Joe is thrilled to finally have the opportunity to pursue his true passion for making music. After years of supporting others' creative endeavours, Joe is excited to share his own music with the world, and his experience and dedication shine through in every note he plays. With a deep love for music and a wealth of experience, Joe is ready to make his mark on the music scene.
