Evolution of Fishermen are a six-piece folk band, brought together by a mutual love of storytelling and original folk songs. The group formed in 2021 and have since embedded themselves in the contemporary folk scene.
The band have played across London and the country consistently since, playing venues such as Green Note, Old Blue Last, O2 Academy Islington, The Crescent (York) and festivals such as Gate to Southwell, Wilderness, Deershed & Medicine Festival.
They released their debut EP ‘Days Like These’ in May last year and launched with a sell out a gig at St Bartholomew the Great’s church in London. Most recently, they embarked on their new live collaborative format, 'The Circle', at Paper Dress Vintage.
They are supported by The Water Chorus
The Water Chorus play the music that they love, rooted in the traditions they grew up with. Punky, upbeat arrangements of traditional songs and tunes re-discover the joy and energy in folk music, whilst atmospheric re-imaginings of ballads find both sorrow and humour in almost-forgotten stories.
