COVID-19 Response

Last updated 8pm Monday 21st February 2022

At St Paul's Covent Garden we have been closely monitoring the COVID-10 (Coronavirus) pandemic. Following advice from Public Health England and the Church of England we are taking appropriate steps to ensure we keep our congregation, staff and volunteer team, visitors, neighbours and event attendees as safe as possible. This page will be regularly updated

Latest guidance

In line with latest guidance, wearing masks in the church building is no longer mandatory. However, please respect those who choose to continue wearing a mask. For the time being, Sunday services are still being streamed on Youtube.

We want you to know that the well-being and safety of our visitors and staff is our absolute priority, and we’d like to assure you that we’re creating the safest environment possible in line with the latest government advice. We’ve assessed every part of our offering: the spaces we provide, our team, the training given to them, and how we look after our visitors. We are also doing frequent health and safety assessments, as well as regular deep cleaning of the site.

  • Sunday services have now resumed in church and are streamed on Youtube.
  • Weekday services on Tuesday and Wednesday at 1.10pm have resumed.
  • Choral Evensong has resumed on the second Sunday of the month.
  • Face masks are no longer required to be worn in the building but please respect those who choose to wear a mask.
  • If you would like to sit socially distanced during a service, please speak to a member of staff or a volunteer who can arrange it for you.
  • Events have now resumed and can be booked on our What's On Page.
  • Mask wearing is no longer mandatory in the church building, but please respect those who choose to continue wearing a mask.
  • We encourage all event attendees to take a Lateral Flow Test before arriving at the venue but we do not require proof of test.
  • If you would like to sit socially distanced, please contact the church office to see if this is possible for the event you would like to attend. Please ring 020 7836 5221 or email concerts@actorschurch.org
  • If you had tickets for an event that was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, you should have been contacted and arrangements made. If you have not been contacted please email info@actorschurch.org with your name and which event you were booked into.

Let’s be a people full of compassion, responding out of faith and not fear.

Let’s be kind to each other and be aware that this is a hugely stressful time and that people may affected in different ways.

COVID-19 memorial

In the summer of 2020, we planted a rose in memory of those who lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
