What's On

We are located in the busy West End of London and, as well as being the Parish Church of Covent Garden, we are also affectionately known as “The Actors’ Church” because of our long association with the theatre community.

This beautiful church built by Inigo Jones, has been here since 1633 and we are also proud to have an attractive churchyard where people can rest and find some peace and quiet in what can be a stressful and busy part of the city.

Services are held every Sunday (at 11am) and most weekdays.  We also host as wide variety of theatre memorial services and concerts, totalling almost 300 events last year.

Stars Come Out in a Midnight Sky

Locus Ensemble performs in iconic St. Paul’s Church, Covent Garden. Featuring string orchestra music with Caerwen Martin’s ‘Stars Come Out in a Midnight Sky’, Grieg’s ‘Holberg Suite’, and Dvorak’s ‘Serenade for Strings’, the concert promises to be a fun, friendly evening for all comers.

Bright Horizons

Actors' Church regulars, Eclectic Voices, join forces with the choir of St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh and John Kenny's Carnyx Brass Ensemble for an exciting and eclectic mix of established classics and brand new material, made possible by our New Music Fund.

Join us in Covent Garden on Friday 3rd June to celebrate her majesty Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee. With fun and pomp aplenty, this fantabulous event will take place in The Actors Church garden from 12pm until 6pm.

The Actors' Church welcomes back Marcel Music for two wonderful violin concertos! The Marcel Sinfonia brings together graduates from leading conservatoires in London such as the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, all to play the magnificent music of Bach, Handel, Mozart and a new composition

Fairytales and Springtime

St Paul's Church welcomes pianist Angela Novy, soprano Valarie Wong and woodwind Player Andy Mellor. Who will delight with a bespoke lunchtime recital of classical music, handpicked for the occasion.

CELLOOP Tour 2022 - Christian Grosselfinger

The Actors' Church welcomes Christian Grosselfinger as part of his global tour. Creator of the “Celloop” concept, combining Violoncello and Looping, Chris now brings the powerful sounds of the keyboard and the virtuosity of the electric guitar together in thrilling and unique arrangements.

A Free Lunchtime Recital of Songs by Richard Strauss

The Actors' Church welcomes back Marrianne Town Smith and guests for a brilliant Lunchtime Concert which celebrates works by Strauss. She is joined by singers Klaudia Magdon, Katy Huntley, Verity Spencer Hall and accompanied by pianist Chad Vindin.

The Actors' Church welcomes Joelene Griffith, Ambrose Connolly and Janet Haney for a intimate concert in classical duets. The program has been hand-picked to explore Europe through language and style.

Free Lunchtime Recital of Operatic Arias and Ensembles

The Actors' Church welcomes back Marrianne Town Smith for a brilliant Lunchtime Concert where opera arias and ensembles are presented by composers including Verdi, Strauss and Puccini. She is joined by singers Nina Korbe, Angharad Rowlands, Emil Vincenzi and accompanied by Chad Vindin.

Renaissance Italian Songs, Poetry & Art

The Actors' Church welcomes a lute and voice duo, Soprano Kate Macoboy and Lutenist Robert Meunier with poetic readings from Serena Giamporcaro for a whirlwind tour through the Italian Renaissance featuring works by Michelangelo, Petrarch and others including the links between the Songs, Art and Poetry.

Sunday at the Musicals

Paul Burton Productions and The Sing Space are pleased to be co-producing a new version of Sunday at the Musicals.

Far, Far From Each Other

The Actors' Church is delighted to welcome Mezzo-soprano Katie Macdonald, violist Kate De Campos and pianist Thomas Eeckhout who will perform a selection of deeply human and heartfelt musical works dealing with distance, separation and longing.

Stockport Grammar School in Concert

Under the musical direction of Mr Michael Dow, the talented youth musicians and singers from Stockport Grammar School (a co-education independent day school for 3 – 18-year-old pupils, based in Greater Manchester) will be coming to perform at St. Paul’s Covent Garden on Monday 11th July 2022, in what is sure to be an exquisite evening of music, featuring their Chorus, Chamber Choirs, Orchestra, Wind Orchestra, String Orchestra and advanced soloists.
