Biographies

Marrianne Town-Smith

Soprano

Lyric-dramatic soprano Marrianne Town Smith started to sing in 2007 as a hobby and distraction from a fast-paced marketing management role.  In 2015 she successfully auditioned for a Postgraduate Vocal Studies Programme at Trinity Laban and graduated with distinction in 2017. 


Most recently Marrianne performed the role of Abigaille in Verdi’s Nabucco and was soprano soloist in Brahm’s Ein Deutsches Requiem and Handel’s Messiah in Bart’s Great Hall London.  Other roles performed and covered include Madeleine Lidoine, Les Dialogues des Carmélites; Maddalena, Andrea Chenier; Donna Anna, Don Giovanni; The Gingerbread Witch and Gertrude Hansel and Gretel, and on the concert stage has performed as soprano soloist in Verdi's Requiem and Handel’s Messiah. Marrianne's 2022 season included concert performances as Abigaille Nabucco, her orchestral concert debut with St Paul’s Sinfonia singing Chausson’s La Poeme de l’amour et de la mer; First Witch in Dido and Aeneas; soprano soloist in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle and Ariadne Ariadne auf Naxos.  She is the founder of Uncovered Opera Company. Emil Vincenzi

Baritone

Emil Vincenzi started his musical education within the family at the age of 5 and graduated in guitar at the Conservatory of Brescia (Italy) at the age of 18.  He later started in voice training firstly in Verona and then in London with Raymond Connell.  He was cast as Gianni Schicchi in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi with Berlin Opera Academy in 2020 (cancelled due to Covid) and graduated in voice from the Conservatory of Verona the same year.  In 2021 he made his debut as Nabucco in Verdi’s Nabucco in a workshop and appeared as Antonio in Le Nozze di Figaro with Hampstead Garden Opera in November 2021.  In 2022 he performed Nabucco with Uncovered Opera Company and Barone Scarpia, Tosca in the school’s matinees programme at the Teatro di San Carlo, Naples.  Future projects include Harlequin Ariadne auf Naxos and Macbeth (title role) with Uncovered Opera Company. 

Naomi Felix

Soprano

Naomi Felix was born in London, but grew up and was educated in Guyana, South America, where she began singing at the early age of 10 in her local church and school choirs. She returned to London to continue her vocal studies at Trinity College of Music, later touring the U.K. and Japan with the musical Carmen Jones under the direction of Simon Callow. Her many performances have taken

her around the world including the USA, Holland and Italy, where she resided for a year. Other performances include 24 Italian Songs and Arias (BRIAN LOBEL); The Trojan Women (HERA); Porgy and Bess in Lisbon, Portugal; and Falstaff (PEGASUS OPERA). Recent performances include a concert performance of Fenena in Verdi’s NABUCCO for Uncovered Opera, a 3-week run of 24 Italian Songs and Arias at Battersea Arts Centre and Seven Last Words by Joel Thompson and Joseph Haydn with the English National Opera. David Smith

Pianist

David Smith completed a Postgraduate Diploma in piano accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Michael Dussek and Vanessa Latarche, and subsequently won the Shinn fellowship.

He is in great demand as a partner of many young leading singers and instrumentalists, and has performed in venues such as the Wigmore Hall, St John Smith Square and Bath Pump Rooms.

David’s many competition successes include reaching the final of the Birmingham Accompanist of the Year, the Vivian Langrish Accompanist Prize, the Michael Head and Bliss Prizes.

His versatility has led him to work as an orchestral pianist with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, a repetiteur with Holland Park Opera and rehearsal pianist with the BBC Symphony Chorus and London Oriana Choir.
