The British Clarinet Ensemble conducted by Elizabeth Worth is welcomed to Covent Garden and the Actors' Church for their Autumn Concert.
The ensemble was formed in 1995 and featured all instruments of the clarinet family from the high Eb clarinet to the low contrabass clarinet. Our programme celebrates some of the music we have commissioned from UK composers including the premiere of our latest commission "Helter Skelter" by Welsh composer Lynne Plowman as well as arrangements and transcriptions for clarinet ensemble.
Programme includes pieces by Gordon Lewin, Stephen McNeff, Paul Hart, Lynne Plowman, Andy Scott, Rob Wiffin, Percy Grainger, Gordon Jacob and Michele Mangani.
Our guest soloist Anna Hashimoto is a versatile clarinettist and educator, often appearing as a guest principal clarinettist in orchestras across the UK. You can find more on her website - https://annahashimoto.com/
