Lustre
What do you get when you combine four friends with a love of singing, a thirst for learning, a large capacity for laughter, and a little bit of quirk? You get Lustre, an award-winning a Capella quartet from the Baltimore-Washington area. In their 15 years together, they have performed at countless local and national venues and have been recognized with numerous awards, including being named the 2018 Sweet Adelines International Champion Quartet. Their sense of humor and intricate harmonies will delight audiences of all ages.
Lustre started their musical adventure back in 2005, and what an adventure it has been! They met through and continue to sing with the Harbor City Music Company Show Chorus (HCMC), a chapter of Sweet Adelines International (SAI) out of Baltimore, Maryland (in SAI Region 19). Kate is also a member of the Capital Accord Chorus (CAC) chapter of SAI, and Jenny is also the Director of the Arundelair Chorus chapter of SAI.
In their time together they have garnered several Regional and International awards through Sweet Adelines, as well as Regional and National awards through the National Harmony Sweepstakes organization. In October 2017 they earned the title of 2018 Sweet Adelines International Quartet Champions.
"Fusion of Friends Chorus” is a group of 21 singers from Oregon, California, Nevada, Hawaii, and Illinois. This group was formed as part of the Harmony Travel Chorus and they have been meeting via Zoom for the last few months, preparing for performances in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Oxford, and London. Under the direction of Master Director Kathy Scheel from Salem, Oregon, they will sing 8 songs in 4-part acapella harmony.
Harmony Travel Chorus is directed by co-directors Patsy Meiser and Paty Cobb Baker. We have 34 singers from all over the United States, with many Sweet Adeline choruses represented. Patty is a well known international quartet champion in the Sweet Adeline world and she can add to her resume chorus director, music educator and chorus and quartet coach
