The Actors' Church welcomes Illyria Theatre's production of Jane Austin's classic Pride and Prejudice as part of our Theatre in the Garden Summer Season.
For high society, life in the 19th century is a whirlwind of luxurious parties, eligible gentlemen, and scandalous gossip. The only way to survive with your reputation - and family fortune - intact is to find a husband or wife before the music stops! Lizzy Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy stand among the madness as the only sane, thoughtful people. They might make a good match…if they didn’t bitterly hate each other! Can they reconcile their differences before the champagne stops flowing? And does Lizzy even want to?
In this production of the ultimate romcom, Illyria sharpens their claws to serve up a story about choosing love, keeping secrets, and spilling the tea! Pack a picnic and enjoy Jane Austen at her vibrant, bitchy best!
