An attractive opening concert to begin 2023's Mozart Fest.
Join us for one of Mozart's most dearly-loved piano concertos, No. 23 in A major K488. Renowned for the beauty of its middle movement, the concerto's finale is full of irresistible joie de vivre. The composer's Symphony No. 40 in G minor is regarded as one of his very finest creations. Its haunting first movement has unforgettable melodies, and the symphony's effervescent finale is justly celebrated. Andrew Campling's Fantasia on Hymn Tunes completes the programme.

The orchestra’s repertoire includes concertos by Vivaldi, Marcello, Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Schumann and Poulenc. The Sinfonia’s name derives from the Marcel Suite, composed by the orchestra’s musical director Andrew Campling.
