The LSU School of Music offers a variety of choral ensembles for students, each with an individual character and musical mission. The chorus members on tour this summer represent a combination of members from four of the five choral ensembles on campus: LSU A Cappella Choir, Chorale, Gospel Choir, and Tiger Glee Club. 

LSU choirs have achieved national and international prominence through its performances in many of the most prestigious performance venues in the world. The LSU A Cappella Choir has given seven European tours since 1991, they have been invited to perform high Mass in Notre Dame in Paris and St. Peter’s in the Vatican. Most recently, they performed as the host choir for the state Louisiana Music Educators Association conference.

Recent performances by the Tiger Glee Club (founded 1916) have included singing at the LSU French House, the Louisiana American Choral Directors’ Association Convention and LSU Shreveport. The LSU Chorale recently performed in Varna, Bulgaria, and Carnegie Hall. Each year, A Cappella Choir, LSU Chorale, Gospel Choir and the Tiger Glee Club collaborate in a spring festival of choirs. Gospel choir members represent all academic disciplines within the university. The LSU Gospel Choir was recently honored as a historical treasure at LSU and was featured in a documentary honoring the late A.P. Tureaud, Sr.

Setlist will include works by José Maurício Nunez Garcia, James MacMillan, and Stacey V. Gibbs.
