Jeffrey Wahl- Recorder

Recorder

Hailing from Vestal, New York, Jeffrey has excelled in a variety of artistic disciplines. His notable achievements in dance include titles such as Junior Mr. Headliner, Teen Mr. Headliner, Teen Dancer of the Year, Mr. Dance of the USA, and the International King of Dance. He founded Dance by Jeff, recognized as one of the Top 100 businesses by Young Biz Magazine. Jeffrey has performed and taught master classes across the United States, Canada, Germany, and Russia. On stage, Jeffrey has portrayed leading roles in The Pirates of Penzance (Frederick), The Mikado (Nanki-Poo), My Fair Lady (Freddy Hill), Hello Dolly (Barnaby Tucker), and A Chorus Line (Mike). As a vocalist, he has performed at prominent events, including the Laguna Seca Raceway, the San Francisco 49ers’ Season Opening celebration, the Sky Chiefs Salute to the Armed Forces Game, and the Concorso Italiano in Monterey, California. He has had the honor of performing for military leaders, international dignitaries, and state and local officials. Jeffrey’s extensive musical direction includes productions such as Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, Cabaret, South Pacific, and The King & I. He is the founder and Musical Director of the Binghamton Baroque Orchestra and a founding member of the Claude Bolling Jazz Experience in Concert. As a conductor, he has led orchestras, brass bands, and choirs globally and served as Music Supervisor and Conductor for the film Toddler Tartar. An accomplished instrumentalist and composer, Jeffrey has been a featured performer in the U.S., Germany, Canada, and Russia. Since 2017, he has been a guest artist and instructor at the Songe d'été en Musique Music School and Festival in Canada. His original works, including The Woods of Windsor, have been performed nationwide, and his compositions were featured in Nevermore - An Evening With Edgar Allan Poe at the International Poe Festival (2019-2021) and the Ithaca Shakespeare Company’s Romeo & Juliet. Jeffrey proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 11 years, retiring as Chief Petty Officer in 2015. His commendations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (2), Good Conduct Medal (3), and others.

John Isenberg- Piano

Piano

John Isenberg, a native of Endicott, NY, has been a faculty member of the Music Department at Binghamton University since 2011, where he received BA degrees in both Music and Italian, as well as a Master's Degree in Italian Literature. He serves as vocal coach, and accompanies studio voice classes, Opera Workshop performances, as well as numerous recitals each year. He has played for various productions under the batons of Maestros Willie Anthony Waters, Stephen Crawford, William Vendice and the late Scott Bergeson, and with stage directors Carol Castel and John Davies. John has accompanied students NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competitions at the district, regional and national levels. From 2001-2012, John worked at Tri-Cities Opera as Staff Pianist under the batons of Co-Founder Peyton Hibbitt, Duane Skrabalak, and John Mario DiCostanzo. Also at TCO, he served for several years as Education Outreach Coordinator and Chorus Master. Since 2013, he has performed with the Songe d'été en musique (Midsummer Music Dream) Festival in the Eastern Townships of Québec. John has played for master classes with Metropolitan Opera singers Richard Leech, Sharon Sweet, Barbara Dever and Raúl Melo. As a chamber musician, he has performed piano quartets by Faure, Mozart and Brahms. John has been a featured soloist with the Binghamton Baroque Orchestra, under the direction of Jeffrey Wahl, performing J.S. Bach's Harpsichord Concerto No.1 in D Minor, Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, and Concerto for Two Harpsichords in c minor BWV 1060.
